We had an amazing private snorkeling tour in Gili T! I went with my twin sister (29) and our mum (57), who has a sore knee. Lan & Ari, our guides, were incredibly kind and attentive, making sure she was helped in and out of the boat. While those with major mobility issues might find it challenging, they really took great care of us. The snorkeling itself was fantastic! We saw big turtles in the sea, which was such a highlight, and later visited the turtle sanctuary to see the baby turtles. The underwater statues were stunning, though a bit overcrowded—perhaps timing the visit differently would improve the experience. Overall, it was a wonderful day out, and we’re so grateful for the care and professionalism of our guides. Highly recommend!

Rinjani 3 days 2 nights trek. To be fair, communication with the gili representative was great and had no issues regarding the booking of the activity. However, as soon as we arrived at the accommodation the night before leaving for the trek, communication with the guide who was responsible for the group was not good. All throught the trek, the guide and porters were really nice but when it came to decision making and getting a briefing on what was coming next we didn't really have answers to our questions. The tents and sleeping bags that were given to us were also not really good quality which isn't ideal when you are sleeping at high points with strong winds. Food was okay, but fresh water from sealed bottles ran out fast. The bathroom (tent) was terrible as only a small hole is digged for a group of 8 people. The bathroom system in general on the mountain does not make sense. (All camp grounds use the same system which makes the area very dirty). There was also a change of plans because 2 people in our group were very slow. The problem was that the guide didn't provide us with any good options and ended up not going to the hot springs as planned. Plus, our guide told us that if we didn't follow the itinerary we would have to pay for the transport that would drive us back to the hotel we were at before leaving for the trek. (We did not end up paying) but it took a little bit of arguing and explaining. When we got back I tried getting an answer to who was responsible for the decision making and never got an answer. In the end, I think our guide just didn't have enough experience and communication was laking. I would not recommend this company if you want to be sure to have a safe experience climbing the mountain. I'm sure there are plenty of other companies who offer more experienced guides.

We booked 3d/2n trekking to Rinjani. This company was recommended by the homestay we stayed in Bangsal. We advised that one of us was gluten intolerant and they say no problem. When we were in the trekking, the guide had no idea of what gluten was and did not bring gluten free options. The guide spoke 0 english so It was very difficult to explain to him. There were no toilet tent. Everything was basic, the food, the ridicoulous small portions of chicken and especially the tents, not prepared for the strong wings in the mount. It didnt help to camp on high ground. As a result, the dust and dirt got through the tents, making imposible to sleep. The second night, the wind was so strong that we had to move camp in the middle of the night to a lower altitud place. Of course, i cant blame them for the wind but they could have chosen a better place to camp (both days) and provide better tents, prepared for the wind. I Guess that Gili Recommended is just an intermediary company but they should choose carefully the partners they work with.
